Starseed (CEO Katie Bomi Son), developer of the AI-powered global PR automation platform Pulitzer AI, has registered two additional Korean patents for article generation technology based on large language models (LLMs). The company’s Pulitzer AI-related patent portfolio now totals five.
The first newly registered patent (No. 10-2891979) covers a method for automatically generating articles that reflect the language and cultural characteristics of target markets. Based on user input and cultural metadata, the system selects a “model media outlet” and generates content matching that outlet’s tone and style. The approach mimics local media conventions rather than relying on direct translation.
The second patent (No. 10-2891980) addresses platform-specific optimization. The system analyzes posts across websites, social media, and social news channels to derive a “model post” for each platform, then generates content with the appropriate length, tone, and structure for each channel.
Starseed previously held patents for personalized article writing and media outlet style recommendations. The company says the new patents complete a technology stack spanning user-level personalization, media style emulation, and platform- and culture-specific optimization.
Pulitzer AI currently offers press release drafting and distribution, journalist matching, email drafting, global news monitoring, and multilingual support. The company says its clients range from startups to large enterprises and public institutions.
“These patents capture the direction of Pulitzer AI as a practical tool for day-to-day communications work,” said CEO Son. “We plan to continue expanding our patent portfolio to strengthen technical barriers in the global PR automation market.”
Starseed secured pre-seed investment from VentureSquare in May 2024 and was selected for the Korean government’s TIPS R&D program. The company was recently included in Startup Alliance’s “2025 Generative AI Startup Map.”
