토스 앱 내에서 별도 앱 설치 없이 스타트업의 서비스를 직접 이용할 수 있는 새로운 기회가 열렸다.

투자 전문 액셀러레이터 씨엔티테크와 종합 모바일 금융 플랫폼 토스를 운영하는 비바리퍼블리카가 유망 스타트업과의 오픈이노베이션 프로그램인 ‘앱인토스 미니앱 챌린지(Apps in Toss Mini-App Challenge)’의 참여 기업을 모집한다.

‘앱인토스(Apps-in-Toss)’는 하나의 앱 안에 다양한 외부 서비스를 담는 앱인앱(App-in-App) 방식이다. 스타트업이 개발한 서비스가 별도 앱 설치 없이 토스 앱 내 ‘미니앱’ 또는 ‘게임’ 메뉴를 통해 구현되고 사용자에게 직접 노출되는 형태다.

사용자는 기존 금융 서비스 외에도 게임, 엔터테인먼트, 커머스 등 생활 밀착형 서비스까지 토스 앱에서 통합적으로 경험할 수 있다.

이번 챌린지를 통해 선발된 스타트업은 토스 MAU 2,900만명(2025년 6월 기준)의 유저를 대상으로 직접 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 인앱 광고(IAA), 인앱 결제(IAP) 등을 통한 다양한 수익화 모델 확보와 사용자 기반 확대가 기대된다.

선정 기업에게는 앱인토스 우선 입점 기회가 제공된다. 우수기업을 대상으로는 앱인토스 수익화를 위한 토스 담당자 컨설팅 및 유관 부서 비즈니스 밋업 제공, 씨엔티테크 직접투자 및 TIPS 연계 검토 기회가 추가적으로 주어진다.

지원 대상은 두 가지 트랙 중 하나에 해당하는 스타트업이다. 초기창업패키지 선정 또는 졸업기업(2022년~2025년)이거나, 캠퍼스타운 기업성장센터 보육 및 졸업 기업 또는 대학 창업기업이면 된다.

씨엔티테크 관계자는 “앱인토스는 스타트업의 실질적인 성장과 수익화를 지원하는 매우 실용적인 플랫폼”이라고 평가했다.
